Recent Purchases

I went into town today to buy some birthday gifts for a friend and picked up some treats for myself too.

The first thing I picked up was the Body Shop Hair Chalk in 002 Tickle Me Pink. I love things such as hair chalk because it brightens up my hair and makes it more exciting before I commit to dying it.

The second thing I picked up was the Rimmel Match Perfection light perfecting radiance foundation. I decided with summer coming up I wanted a lighter foundation that wouldn't feel weird when I got really warm. Also, as I've got extremely pale skin, I was happy to find that they do have a shade that was perfect for me.

Next I picked up the Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencils in 'Vanilla Sky 1' and 'Vintage Blush 3', I actually think I'm going to love these because they are so simple and easy to use.

The last thing I treated myself was the VO5 smoothly does it Tame & Shine Spray, which has heat protection built in and helps to tame frizzy hair making it smooth and sleek.(and I've got to say that it does help!)

April Favorites

This month, as it's been getting a bit warmer I've been wanting simple easy to put on and go makeup, and these are my favorites. 

First of all is basic eyeshadow duos. I love these types of things because, it's two shades that you don't have to think about anything fancy. Both products are very in-expensive but are 'worth  it' and are quite good quality for the price you pay.

The first is E.L.F.'s Duo Eyeshadow  in "berry mix"

The second is from the Natural Collection at boots in "mink/sable"

 

Another thing I've been loving is cream eyeshadows, simply because they're no hassle and only require a quick wash over your eyelids 

The first is the maybelline color tattoo's in "on and on bronze" and "pink gold", as mentioned in a previous post, I love these things and these shades seem really simple to me.

However I do have an expensive option which is MAC's paint pot in "let's skate", which was a Christmas present, and I still love it, it offers a slightly more glam approach to basic.

Lastly is maybelline's colour show nail polish in "sugar crystals" and I have literally been wearing this all month, its simple requiring only one coat but makes me feel good with a touch of sparkle.
