Lush Haul

Recently after discovering my love of relaxing bath times and many lush products I decided to order myself a small haul full so that I had some little goodies over the festive period.

The first thing I ordered was two candy mountain bubble bars which smell amazing and like sweets, when I used one in the past it made me feel so happy and I smelt amazing all day.

I haven't used any of the following products before but I cannot wait to try them all out, however what I can say is that all of the products smell wonderful.

I purchased The Melting Snowman, which is a luxury bath melt and I simply believed it was adorable even if he looks a little sad.

Next I picked up a soap which I must admit I did buy due to the name and the product tag line. This product would be Rock Star with the tag line of 'Smells like teen (sweet) spirit', so I simply brought it due to the reference to the Nirvana song, although I would say I don't regret this purchase because I love the subtle scent it has to offer.

I also picked up a bath bomb in the form of the northern lights bath bomb bath time spectacle. I ordered this because it's a bit different from your regular round bath bomb and from what I've heard it is rather a spectacle and I can't wait to see.

The final product I ordered was the Gold Star bubble bar and to say this smells good would be an understatement, it's refreshing citrus scent just livens up my day and I can't stop smelling it. The only disadvantage was that it was a Lush Kitchen exclusive meaning it's limited.

Until next time, stay beautiful

Christmas Tree Inspiration

After putting up my tree I thought I would share some of the decorations I've got for inspiration. I wouldn't say me tree has a theme, I just pick up what I like and this year I'm loving how it's coming along.

November Favourites

The past month has began to become hectic with the run up to Christmas, and it's fair to say I'm actually loving it. A lot of my shopping this month has been Christmas related but I have found some other things I love

The first thing I've been loving this month is the simple spotless skin triple action face wash. I would completely recommend this to anyone with problematic or spotty skin, for me this has works wonders and I haven't seen my skin so clear in a very long time.

This favourite comes in the form of a Christmas candle, it's the Yankee Candle in 'Cranberry Ice' in a small votive tester size. This candle is useful if you want a subtle hint of Christmas to brighten up your home.
Another candle I've been loving is 'Spiced Orange' which is a much stronger Christmas scent and originates from giving oranges as Christmas gifts.

As I mentioned at Halloween, I love small cakes, especially the Mr Kipling French Fancies which I am now loving in the festive 'Frozen Fancies' variety.

Finally is one of my favourite wrapping papers, which is actually brown paper. I think that it's so simple, you can dress it up in any way you want whether that be with bows or ribbons, I can't wait to experiment.

October Favourites

Welcome to November, meaning it's almost Christmas (sort of). October seemed to be over rather quickly whether this be due to the dark nights or me slobbing around in my comfies all month, I'll never know.

One of the things I've been loving this month are the Mr Kipling 'Fiendish Fancies' which are the Halloween version of the usual French Fancies which I love all year 'round. They're a soft sponge cake with vanilla topping and an orange flavoured icing, and it's fair to say I have to have them every year. (I even found out recently that they bring out Christmas ones!)

Recently I purchased the Revlon colorstay foundation for dry skin, as I heard it has amazing staying power and great coverage. I can say it does and I'm rather impressed, I have to say I wore it every time I wore makeup last month.
After repeatedly dying and re-dying the ends of my hair,it's become rather dry and dull, so I decided to purchase this, as recommended by my hairdresser. It's a moisturising and conditioning mousse designed to give your hair that extra boost. This product is called 'conditioning whipped cream' from a company called milk_shake with product names following a similar trend. Their products all smell amazing, when I have it in my hair I spend all day sniffing my hair - as weird as it may seem. This product isn't cheap for a hair mousse but generally not too expensive considering the amazing job it does.

Finally I've been loving the cold. It gives me an excuse to pull out all my winter hats and scarves that I've missed through the rest of the year.

The First Of Many

Over the years, my best friend and I have been through a lot together and recently we decided we don't see each other enough without someone else being there. This meant we never had a chance just to speak and just simply catch up or even whine excessively about something completely insignificant.

Therefore we invented (well,we really weren't the ones to create this originality) 'Jordon and Amy's coffee mornings'/ day out laughing.

For many people going out for coffee or a meal with your best friend is normal, but for us, it's something I think we need. I strongly believe that you should spend time with the people you love and make sure that they know how much you value them in your life.

On a more positive note, I thought I'd share some of the slightly cliché and completely bonkers photos we took.

Our Awkward identical coffee orders

Amy pretending to be Captain Jack Sparrow
' We have our Heading'

My 'sassing' after attempting to climb the dreaded wall of doom.

The coffee that day was really bitter, an old man kept glaring at us for laughing and we got some really weird stares for having a DSLR in public, but overall I had one of the best days I've had in a good while, all that matters is who you surround yourself with, not what you do.

September Favourites

Now that it's October, it's time to look back on some of the things I've enjoyed over the past month.

The first thing I've loved this month is a basic essential. It's the Mitchum advanced deodorant spray in unscented. This product does what it says, and lasts the whole day.

Next is yet another BarryM nail gelly, this time in almond, it's a light brown colour with purple mauve under tones which I think is perfect for autumn.

Along the lines of nail polish, I've also been loving the Bourjois magic nail polish remover, it makes doing your nails ten times easier and works really well, especially if you can't stand chipped nails and you're always redoing them.

Another thing that I'm loving are cute little midi rings including these ones that I purchased last month from River Island.

The final thing I've been loving this month are Skittles. I would include them in the picture above, but I appear to have eaten them all.

The 'Accidental' Purchases

Whilst on holiday in Devon, I 'accidentally fell' into superdrug and made a few purchases. My justification for this is that I was on holiday and that it was perfectly okay to treat myself, just a little.

The first thing I picked up was the Maybelline color show acid wash effect nail polish in 'lilac rebel'. I'd seen these around for a while and found them quite interesting, and after trying them out I realised they are rather different and unique.

I also picked up a Rimmel apocalips lip stain in 'stellar' and it's fair to say it's rather bright.

For a while I've wanted to try the Revlon make your own palette, in which you slot together the individual shadows. I picked these up in '290 cocoa' which is a brown satin shade. I also got '010 bone' which is a matte shade which I thought would made a great brow bone shade.

I picked up another collection eyeshadow pencil in 4 'hot chocolate' and I can't wait to use it.

After picking up a replacement Loreal super liner in intense black I got to move onto the minis. After wanting to pick up some simple products to try I picked up their hydrating light moisturiser. I also picked up a mini sure deodorant in cotton fresh for my handbag and a cherry blossom batise dry shampoo for when I stay at someone's house.

Until next time, stay beautiful

August favourites

This month I've been really loving simple as a brand, their products help my skin to feel amazing and fresh as well as helping the mass breakout I've been experiencing. I've been especially loving their kind to skin cleansing wipes because they help me freshen up my face when I get home and take off any foundation left over from the day, makin  it easier for me to relax. I've also been enjoying their hydrating light moisturizer, it's light and I can't feel it on my skin and as the brand claim to be "sensitive skin experts" I think it's fair to say it's working wonders on my sensitive and complex skin.

My makeup favourite this month is Revlon's lip butter in 027 'juciy papaya' which makes my lips look fresh and natural because its only slightly darker than my lips.

Finally is a book favourite, which is The Silver Linings Play Book, which was a recommendation from a friend, and so far I'm loving the short, easy to read chapters. If you are not a book person, I'd also recommend the film with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence.

The Chop

Recently I've been getting rather frustrated with my hair, for one thing it's extremely bleach damaged on the ends making it dry and brittle. For another thing it tangled extremely easily, and as much as the length made me feel like a Disney princess, I decided it was time to change. Every time someone would ask me what length I was having my hair, it got shorter and shorter until I eventually asked my hairdresser what she thought.
I left her to choose and I love the result.

I've now short collar bone length hair with choppy layers throught to replace traditional layers. I still have around three inches of blonde left from when it was ombréd in June and the short length and layers help to cover up the rubbish job that was done.

It's fair to say I love it, it's so out of my comfort zone and yet, it's so me.
So what do you think?

Holiday Looks

                                                                                                    Me attempting the sea

Last week I took a holiday with my family  Devon and I thought I would share with you some of my favorites from the trip.

This is one of my favorite outfits I wore, simply because I specifically bought  this skirt from New Look, for the holiday and I'd waited so long to wear it.  The top is a crop top from H&M and I'm pretty sure it was around £4 which is a bargain.

It's fair to say the above picture took a while to get;

          My lovely sister

Outfit Two

This outfit was to deal with the weird weather, as you can see it was very different throughout the day. In the first picture I'm wearing a textured skater skirt from Primark which was around £5 and a grey floral jumper from New Look which was £7 in the sale. The boots I'm wearing are from F&F at Tesco who always have great boots in autumn.

By the afternoon, I'd changed into a thin tank top with a zip from New look and  a pair of simple strappy sandals from Primark Which have lasted amazingly well.

Until next time, stay beautiful
