Merry Christmas

Hoping everybody had a very merry Christmas and you continue to have a a great festive season.

I spent my Christmas Day in a strange way, with a very early morning starting at half six .  At seven the rest of my family woke up and we proceeded to open presents whilst listening to festive music.

Whilst opening presents my brother decided to "open" his chocolate orange by throwing it at the floor resulting in a massive chocolaty mess.

After this we watched two films of which I had been long waiting for.

Like many people I spent my day cooking a family dinner which we ate and wore paper hats and telling silly jokes.

I then continued to watch even more films, in a rather fetching onsie until seven when I had to get dressed again to go to a family Christmas party, which ran long into the morning.

Ombré Hair With Jerome Russell B Blonde Highlighting Kit

This week I decided to re-ombré my hair and thought it would be a great opportunity for a blog post.

The kit I use is the Jerome Russell B Blonde Highlighting Kit. The Kit is quite simple to use and the instructions are easy to follow.

Step one would be putting on some old clothes, even though I have never ruined any clothes whilst stripping my hair I always take this precaution.

Stage two is putting on the provided gloves or your own if you prefer and mixing the cream peroxide and the powder bleach until it is a smooth mix.

After this you brush your hair through and decide how high up you want the ombré to go and start to apply the mix.

After the recommended time, as suggested on the box, and wash it off with the inserted conditioning shampoo.

Ta dah, there you have it ombèd hair DIY and simple.

Liebster Blog Award

Since I  am rather new here I was extremely shocked to find out that Rosalind Bootle had nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award. This greatly boosted my confidence as I did not really think that many people took my blog into consideration.

The award is for bloggers with less than 200 followers like myself. The Liebster Blog Award appears to be all about the number 11.  From what I've gathered I believe that you state 11 random facts about yourself, nominate 11 blogs with under 200 followers and finally answer the questions asked by the person who nominated you.

Lets go,

11 random facts about me:

1.I am an easily distracted person with quite a low attention span and coinciding with this my moods and attitudes towards things and people often change quickly and day to day. 

2.I love photography and often take pictures at random and sometimes inappropriate times.

3.I love absolutely love Disney and watch at least one Disney film a week.

4.Recently I have started trying new things whereas in the past i never really tried anything.

5.I have OCD which means I like things to be in certain places and don't like it when people move my things and often stress when I can't find things

6. I am a training figure skater and I love it when I can be on the ice because it makes me feel free and all my stresses and worries disappear.  

7.I love a large variety of music and can never pick one genre, from McFly to Fall Out Boy to The Vamps to Christina Grimmie.

8.I hold my friends and family very close to me and always put them before myself.

9.I don't have a favorite item of clothing, what I wear changes according to my ever changing mood.
10. I was born two months early and subsequently  I am not very tall and my feet are a small size 4 and my coaches often joke about it when I trip over my own feet.

11.Finally , in my spare time I often listen to music or watch Disney films with my friends.

1. What's the story behind your blog name?

My blog is named so because I think my blog lets a tad of me out into the vast world therefore you just get Jord's small blog.

2. What's the best thing that has ever happened to you?

I find it hard to distinguish what the best thing to happen to me is so it is either saying yes to my coach when she approached me or gaining such wonderful best friends and family.

 3. Do you have any pets?
I have a dog called Snowey, she is a golden Labrador and I love her to pieces.

4. How is life for you at the moment?
Honestly? Life at the moment is okay, it's having it's ups and downs even if it is mostly downs.

5. If you could pick one movie that you were able to star as the lead role in which movie would it be?

Can it be Disney?

If it can be then, probably Tangled because I love that film and how Rapunzel manged to get her happily ever after even after putting others before herself.   

6. You're stuck on a deserted island with a handsome fellow and you're only allowed to take one peice of makeup with you, which do you take?

Probably concealer because I believe the right concealer can work wonders.

7. What is your all time favorite colour?

I'm going to go with coral because its rather different from peoples stereotypical plain pink.

8. Favorite nail varnish colour for winter?

My favorite nail colour for winter often changes like many things but currently would be brooch the subject by essie.

9. What's the reason you started a blog?

I started a blog so I could have somewhere to vent to because non of my friends are that girly or into makeup of fashion so I decided to start a blog to express that side of myself and hopefully help others.

10. What did you last eat?

The last thing I ate was a meal I cooked for my family which was mashed potatoes, carrots, beans,  peas, roast potatoes and chicken.

11. What phone do you have?

 Currently I have a black I-Phone 4 8GB.

Maybelline Baby Lips

When the Maybelline baby lips first came out I heard nothing but good words about them, so what did I do I jumped onto the band wagon. 

             (Cherry Me,  Pink Punch)

I have to admitt not these sensations are a whole lot better than I originally thought. 

These moisturising lip balms are phenomenal. I did not expect a lot from these other than bright colour with limited moistirisation. Boy was I wrong. Originally I brought Pink Punch which I thought would be a bright pink colour but when you use it is effectivley translucent with a small hint of color. 

Another thing about the lip balms is that the smell absoloutly amazing. Pink Punch smells fruity and sweet and well- like punch. Due to this I then went on to buy Cherry Me which is a red lip balm unsuprisingly smelling like cherries. 

These lip balms are extremely moisturising, smell great and only cost around three pounds!

Sleek Blushes

Sleek have a great range of make up but is best know for its blushes, it was only recently when I decided to pick up a blush to try for myself. As far as I know, you can get Sleek products at most Superdrugs and online. You can also get Sleek products online on their website (www.sleekmakeup.com)

The single blushes are £4.49 and the website also shows swatches with different skin colours so that you can see how a colour would turn out on you skin.

 They also do the blushes by 3 sets which are 3 of their blushes in a set and this costs £10. 

The blush I brought was in rose gold which is a beautiful coral colour with gold reflects.

 Yet again I don't think my photos give the product justice.

These blushes are so soft and so pigmented and the packaging in really nice and slim with a useful mirror.I will definitely be buying another one soon.
